Executive Director and Co-Founder
Joe co-founded The Shooting Star Foundation with his wife Melissa in 2016 after their third child, Stella, was diagnosed with a unique chromosomal condition. Thanks to early-intervention therapy, Stella is getting her best chance at a healthy life. But not all families are so fortunate. Stella’s diagnosis and the family’s Christian faith inspired Joe and Melissa to assist local families that cannot afford the immense cost of therapy and early intervention for their kids. It is their hope that more children in Stella’s situation can become Shooting Stars and accomplish anything life puts in front of them.
Joe is a Managing Director at SightLine Partners, a private equity firm that invests in late stage healthcare companies. Since joining SightLine in 2005, Joe has been actively involved in sourcing and completing investments in a number of areas within the healthcare industry. In addition to sitting on several for-profit boards for SightLine, he serves on the board of St. David’s Center.
Joe and his family live in Chanhassen and attend Westwood Community Church, where they are actively involved in small groups and the church community.
