Shannon Horgan
Shannon is a healthcare executive with over 25 years of experience in insurance benefits, marketing and new product innovation. His career has centered around identifying ways to simplify healthcare, finding creative ways to drive transformative growth and engaging consumers in new and exciting ways to drive better health outcomes. He has led marketing, product and innovation efforts at various market-leading health organizations including Centene, UnitedHealthcare and Aetna/CVS. Most recently, he was Chief Growth Officer for Government Employees Health Association (GEHA), a non-profit health plan focused specifically on the health and well-being of federal employees nationwide and currently heads up strategy for Aetna’s federal employee programs.
Shannon is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. He is an avid movie buff and, though he lived in Los Angeles and New York form many years, has remained loyal to all of the Minnesota sports teams. He currently resides in Chanhassen with his wife and two children, Ella and Kaden. As a father of two, the impact that the Shooting Star Foundation is having on families with special needs children really resonated with him. He was inspired by the founders Joe and Melissa’s story and their passion to make a difference in the lives of families with facing similar challenges. He is especially excited to use his experience in healthcare to help the foundation advance their mission to make an impact in the community.
